Coco && Breezy Interview!

I have an interview with accessory designers, Coco && Breezy! The ladies are sunglass  designers who have taken NewYork by storm! Celebrities such a Beyonce, Ciara, Nicki Minaj and countless others all have rocked there designs. They are only in their early twenties and have already created a brand and a name for themselves in the fashion industry. Born & raised in Minnesota, these ladies thought differently and looked different. They consider themselves ahead of their time, living on "Coco && Breezy" planet. After visiting New York at the age of 19, they decided that they HAD to be there. They stepped out on faith, sold their cars and with little money, moved to New York. They truly inspire me as a young, African American designer. They have set the bar and example and this assures me that anything is possible when you have a dream!

We celebrate Whitney Houston!

I really do hate hearing this kind of news. I had just arrived in Brooklyn and was on my way downtown on the B48 bus line. I decide to check twitter on my phone and there a status update was "...Whitney Houston, dead..." I didn't want to believe it. I was hoping it was a rumor. I checked other sources. And unfortunately, it was true. I felt like she was on the rise for her "come back" album but it never really came. I was so excited for her future albums and there successes. Such a gifted voice and a strong, talented woman. I feel so bad for her 18 year old daughter. I can tell they were best friends. And I cant imagine how it feels to lose a best friend who is your mother as well. Rest In Peace, Whitney. We celebrate your home going!

Im in NYC!

Im in New York City! Im here to film for my documentary & for my Senior Thesis class. I also managed to set up an interview with 2, young pretty big fashion Designers for my class. More details on that coming soon. The city of New York is a beautiful place! I thought of maybe moving here after graduation and maybe going to fashion design school, Fashion Institute of Technology in particular. I dont know, Im still thinking about it. I thought it would only make since, since Im into Theater, design & modeling. "What other place is perfect in all those areas?" I thought to myself.
